The whole game works without cheats. I can put in the master codes and things work fine. I can then also use item modification cheats with the master codes to successfully get infinite rare candies or master balls.The cheats work and the game continues to function, but if I use wild pokemon modifiers to try and catch a wild charmander or even a Gen 3 pokemon like Taillow as soon as I encounter a wild pokemon the game restarts.It keeps my in-game save (not F1 through VBA, although those aren’t affected either) and I can load up to where I was, but from then on, even without re-entering the cheats, the game restarts on any wild pokemon encounter.
