Errors listed in Event Viewer about the game processors would help too.Most ppl ar eunaffected by meltdown in the first place as they dont run multiple VM's which are comprimised. Meltdown was an issue that you could read out the RAM from one VM out of another VM. Unless you run large server clusters with multiple virtual servers or VM from which one is comprised then you where unaffected int he first place.Besides that you can use Windows 10 for free there is really no reason to still sue XP.

And not all games support XP anymore. They mabye did in the past but the license agreement you signed by installing always stake that requriements change over time.So unless OP gets a modern OS and not want to stick to a 15 year old OS there is no obvios solution despite seeing if something since march has changed in the settings or drivers.
