Samsung Writemaster Sh-w162z Driver/ Download Fasters

I have the same problem since installing windows 10. You cannot uninstall it (drivers) susing device manager because it does not appear there. All is shown are the hard drives. It does not appear anywhere in control panel or devices and printers.

It is just as if it has become a piece of plastic or does not exist at all.The Samsung web site is virtually useless as although it asks for the name and model it then refuses and asks you for the model number wheich I don't have without taking it out. It has worked perfectly well until the upgrade.Roy Caswell. Yet another point. In another thread it was suggested that one should disconnect the drive and restart the computer. Then, on re connecting the drive, windows will see it as new hardware and download the drivers.

I have tried this and there is no little balloon telling methat the new software is being loaded. The drive still does not exist at all It is a deceased, dead, expired, non-existent piece of hardware. Are we to believe that Microsoft were unaware this would happen? Why should you need new drivers anyway? Come on Microsoft solutions are needed or I willhave to revert to Windows 7 to get my DVD/CD writer/reader to work.Roy Caswell. Thank you for replying. However, there may be, having discussed with others, a simpler reason why the problem occurs.

Samsung Writemaster Driver Windows 7

I went back to Windows 7 and found the drive was still not there. On checking the connections I found the data sata cable, not the powercable was not snapped fully into position even though it had worked before. I would advise anyone else who has this problem to check that both the power cable and the data cable is fully connected at both ends before troubleshooting. I have made a windows10 start up pen drive from my lap top and am going to experiment again with my main computer to see what if any problems persist.

Actually, I went back to windows 10 only to find that the DVD drive had completely disappeared again. The fixes appear not to work.

The device non-existent. So it wasn't a loose cable.I feel that the fault lies between Windows 10 and the type of motherboard installed. Depending on the motherboard, some will lose their drive and others won't.I have solved the problem by buying a small external USB DVD drive which apparently don't rely on internal drivers. This solves the problem but at a small cost. As you say, the thing should not have happened in the first place. Now here's an interesting thing that may shed some light on what's going on, for those in the know.

Samsung dvd writer driver se-208

My two 200Gb drives have recently started to play up. So I took them out and did a clean install on an 240Gb SSD. River flows you piano sheet. So, I only had the one drive partitionedinto two halves. I placed a disc in the DVD and it was operating and showing up on This PC (previously My Computer).

However, since doing that, I then decided that I ought to have a second SSD for extra storage an back up like I had before. Having added thesecond identical drive, the DVD drive has once again disappeared and become inoperable. So, it would appear that Windows 10 appears to be putting some limit on the number of internal drives. I am now back to an external USB DVD drive.Hope that helps someone out there shed some light on the defect.
